SALES ASSOCIATE

The Deli Associate / Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving a variety of food items, including pizza, sandwiches, and other hot and cold deli offerings, within a convenience store environment. This position plays a key role in maintaining food quality, safety standards, cleanliness, and providing efficient, friendly customer service while supporting daily deli operations.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare, cook, and assemble food items such as pizza, sandwiches, and other deli products according to company standardsOperate deli equipment safely, including ovens, and food warmersMaintain proper food handling, sanitation, and safety practices at all timesEnsure deli area, workstations, and equipment are kept clean, stocked, and organizedMonitor food quality, freshness, and presentationAssist customers with deli orders in a courteous and professional mannerFollow all company policies, procedures, and health regulationsRestock ingredients and supplies as neededCommunicate with management regarding inventory needs, equipment issues, or customer concernsSupport overall store operations as needed during busy periodsQualifications Previous food service, deli, or cooking experience preferred, but not requiredAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentBasic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practicesStrong attention to detail and cleanlinessReliable, punctual, and able to follow instructionsAbility to stand for extended periods and perform light to moderate liftingWork Environment This position operates primarily in the deli area of a convenience store and may involve exposure to hot surfaces, food equipment, and varying temperatures.
