Asset Platform EngineerThis ITAM Engineer will work as part of the Software Asset Management team to manage and maintain and support the Flexera ITAM platform and related infrastructure. This individual will assist with Flexera Beacon updates and FlexNet agent rollouts across the enterprise. Coordinate with various application teams in different verticals to make sure the FlexNet agents are deployed and reporting properly. Engage with vendors for troubleshooting and understand product roadmap. This role may also extend to support other asset management platforms we have.What you'll do:Creating documentation for requirements, engineering drawings and diagrams, as well as operational installation (runbooks) to deliver infrastructure services for projectsMaintain responsibility for the day-to-day installing, configuring, and managing of the FlexNet agent rollouts and perform infrastructure component updates and upgradesDevelop scripts to automate the FlexNet agent deployments across different operating systemsIntegrate ITAM with SCCM and vCenterIntegrate ITAM with other SaaS servicesExtensively work with software asset analystsTranslating business needs into actionable deliverablesWork with engineers and analysts to capture requirements for enterprise projects and identify the enterprise infrastructure services requiredDocument infrastructure environments in coordination with other infrastructure and application teams to ensure the system is secure, highly available, and scalableCollaborate with project managers, other engineers, architects, administrators, and customers to deliver projects on time and within budgetWorking with other enterprise infrastructure teams to deliver enterprise services to the businessesWorking with service providers of data centers to deploy new solutionsExplores and stays abreast of new technologies that can bring value to the organizationManages technology proof of concept selection criteria, evaluation, and testingAll you'll need for success:Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training3 years of experience as a systems or infrastructure engineer managing Windows and different flavors of LinuxExperience and understanding of industry standard software asset management terms3 years of experience in handling Kubernetes containers and managing AKS clusters in Azure3 years of hands on experience with Flexera software asset manager, Flexera ITAM or Flexera One and other Flexera products and modulesFlexera ITAM platform administrationFlexera beacon administrationExperience with Flexera SaaS Manager integrationsExperience with FlexNet agent deployments at scaleFlexNet agent troubleshootingKnowledge in working with Flexera One APIsPreferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience:Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/trainingExperience with Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems, Oracle and MS SQL Server databases, SQL queries, and networkingKnowledge of programming and scripting, including BASH, Python, VBS, or PowerShellExperience with scripting or programming, including Perl, Python, C, C++, C#, Java, Bash and Shell, or Batch a plusCapability to lead both technical and non-technical discussions.Experience with datacenter managed service providersStrong ability to troubleshoot issues and coordinate teams to resolve root causeAbility to manage stressful situations and adapt to changing environmentsStrong problem solving skills and ability to exercise independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisorAbility to analyze complex problems and implement solutions and/or workaroundsDemonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environmentsAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledgeAbility to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practicesProficiency in Agile project management methodology, specifically within the infrastructure areaProficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)
