Senior Software Engineer Infra - Compute Platform

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer Infra - Compute Platform to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a regulated financial services environment.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $191,100 – $191,100 annuallyResponsibilities Own the design and operation of Kubernetes cluster management tooling and automation for reliability at scale Build developer-facing tools that enhance interactions with Kubernetes, emphasizing AI integration Deliver new compute capabilities for service owners, focusing on jobs, cron scheduling, and automated right-sizing Drive operational excellence by automating processes, reducing on-call burdens, and improving observability and incident response Collaborate with Security, Reliability, and Observability teams to uphold standards for the compute platformQualifications 5+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years focusing on Kubernetes or similar orchestration systems Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP infrastructure services in a production environment Strong background in designing and operating distributed infrastructure systems, diagnosing failures, and resolving issues Experience with CNCF tools like Helm, Prometheus, and ArgoCD and applying them to infrastructure challenges Ability to improve automation and efficiency using AI tools responsibly to enhance workflowsBenefits Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a rapidly growing field Engagement with cross-functional teams to enhance security, reliability, and observability Creative freedom to implement AI-driven processes within infrastructure workflowsOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
