Electrical Engineer

Job DescriptionThe Electrical Engineer will report directly to the Engineering Manager, and the job duties are to be completed in our Lafayette, Indiana office. This is not a remote position.Position Primary Responsibilities IncludeUsing computer-assisted design software to create and maintain schematics, design documentation, and engineer change requests.Researching, testing, and installing electronic equipment for use in automated mail sorting.Working with vendors to specify and procure hardware as part of project implementation. Working in multi-functional, cross-organizational teams to achieve company goals.Preparing for and participating in engineering reviews.Limited traveling to customer sites as needed. Degree Or Equivalent Experience PreferredElectrical Engineering - Bachelors or MastersElectrical Engineering Technology - Bachelors or MastersSuccessful Candidates Will PossessWorking knowledge of industry standards: IEC, OSHA, NECUnderstanding of multiphase AC power systemsAC to DC conversion understandingWorking understanding of DC circuitryCAN bus, serial/RS485, ethernet, ASISignal integrity understandingExperience with circuit design, circuit board layout, package designExperience with micro-controller design and integrationExperience with component selectionBoard level DC to DC Voltage switcher designKnowledge of designing for ESD immunityStrong attention to detail, analytical skillsStrong communication skillsExperience with Engineering Change Request (ECR) and Engineering Resource Program (ERP) software and strategiesPossessing knowledge and experience using tools such as an oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer for testing and debugging.Experience building prototype circuits, soldering, desoldering SMD and TH componentsExperience with industrial panel designExcellent problem-solving skills Experience With The Following Is a PlusSolidworks ElectricalFirmware developmentEagleAltium DesignerPeripheral integrationGeneral CAD experienceCompany DescriptionEngineering Innovation, Inc.
