Controls Technician
Controls TechnicianAlliance Group is seeking full-time, experienced Controls Technicians in Essex Junction, VT to join our growing Building Automation/Controls team. This is a field-based position that is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various building automation systems. This person will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, building automation systems, energy management, network communications, and build and maintain strong customer relationships.We are willing to train the right person!Key Responsibilities· Safely perform scheduled preventive maintenance routines with senior technician. · Assist in commissioning and startup to ensure proper operation of systems. · Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair wiring, hardware, and software. · Diagnose communication problems. · Create, load, test, and tune system databases. · Install, replace, and recommission control systems devices, equipment, and software. · Provide on-site training to customers. * Create and maintain accurate test records and other documentation.Essential Qualifications and Competencies• 2+ years of building automation experience (required) • 2+ years of HVAC or electrical experience (preferred) · Knowledge of Build-Ops platform desired but not required. · Strong interpersonal communication skills. · Ability to work efficiently and identify inefficiencies in work processes. · High level of reliability, follow-through, discretion and integrity. · Must possess proactive, positive problem-solving skills. · Must be an energetic and enthusiastic collaborative team player. · Excellent communication skills both written and oral. · Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams. · Must maintain a company vehicle. · Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a daily basis · Must be able to climb up and down Scaffolding, Ladders, Stairs as job requires.U.S. citizenship or a current, valid U.S. work permit is mandatoryApplicants must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license.A background verification and motor vehicle check will be required.A pre-employment post-offer Human Performance Examination is required for this position.Equal Opportunity Employer:Alliance Group Services values diversity and commit to making hiring decisions based on the skills and traits needed to be successful in this role.
