Job SummaryThe Painter will use wet spraying technique for paint and primer on steel product as required by the customer. Must haveprevious painting experience.Duties And ResponsibilitiesPrepare parts for coatingFollow all principles and practices of wet spray application, including review of specifications, color codes, mixing charts and verbal and written instructionsOperate all coating equipment including guns, hoppers and booth collection systemsObserve machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defectsDetermine paint flow and coating quality by performing visual inspectionsEnsure that all components are produced/coated efficiently, and are consistent with company established goals for quality and customer order on-time performanceEnsure that safety guidelines are being met to assure a safe work environmentLoad or unload parts or product onto fixtures as neededProper cleaning and maintenance of equipmentProper use, storage and disposal of paint supplies and wasteQualifications And ExperienceGood knowledge of the mechanics and repair of painting equipmentTo perform this job an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorilyStrong background in industrial paintingStrong attention to detailAble to work in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrate ability to work independently without daily supervisionMaintains a safe and clean work areaWorking Conditions / EnvironmentThis job operates in a manufacturing environment.This role routinely uses paint equipment.While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to loud noise, fumes and airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration; may work with or around chemicals that create a hazardous exposure which is defined on the accessible Safety Data Sheets; employee is exposed to extreme temperature changes over an eight-hour shift.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceShift AvailabilityDay Shift (Preferred)Work Location: In personYou Should Be Proficient InIndustrial & Commercial Painting
