Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.Primary ResponsibilitiesReflect the core values of Home Instead MerrickContribute to a positive living environment to enhance a client's quality of lifeDocument daily activities and report any significant changes in a client's needs or living conditionsMaintain regular communication with supervisor and office staffDuties include, but are not limited to:Companionship and conversationProviding stabilization and assistance with walkingLight housekeeping tasks (laundry, dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens etc.)Meal preparationMedication and appointment remindersAssistance with grooming and bathingAssistance with toileting and incontinence issuesRunning errandsAccompanying clients to appointmentsAlzheimer’s CareDriving to assignments and driving clients to appointments and shoppingRequirements To Be a CAREGiver**Current Home Health Aide Certification (HHA)Must Possess a Valid Driver’s License and Reliable Vehicle with Valid Auto InsuranceAbility to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respectAbility to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial mannerComplete a criminal background check, DMV check and drug screenThree (3) years minimum experience caring for seniorsMust provide positive professional references illustrating experienceWe have a variety of shifts available with competitive pay.
