Responsible for selecting “the best of the best” products for our online customers.Reporting RelationshipsAccountable and Reports to: Director E-commerce Fulfillment center, E-commerce Manager, E-commerce fulfillment Operations ManagersDirect Reports: NonePrimary ResponsibilitiesAccurately selects groceries ordered via automated systemEnsures equipment is operated in a safe mannerAccurately selects ordered items via manual shopping in a timely mannerSelects highest quality produce, meat and other fresh productsSelects, scans, and bags items from all temperature zonesOrganizes, stacks, and stages orders for store deliveryLoads orders into trucks and securely for store deliveryAdheres to company policies and facility guidelinesReports to work when scheduled and on timeSecondary Duties And ResponsibilitiesCounts, merges and consolidates inventoryStocks and re-packs inventory as directedSorts and organizes equipmentCleans equipment and environment as directed Performs other job-related duties and special projects as requiredEducation And ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalent preferred.Physical RequirementsVisual requirements include ability to see detail at near range with or without correctionMust be able to physically perform medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently, 10 pounds of force constantly, and 10 pounds of force continually to move objectsMust be physically able to work intermittently in temperatures below 32 degrees FMust be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motionsKnowledge, Skills, Abilities And Worker CharacteristicsCommitment to the Hy-Vee mission and a willingness to promote the values of the companyStrong interpersonal skills: ability to relate to and interact with people in a friendly, professional mannerAbility to identify problems and execute solutions.Must be able to perform addition, and subtraction involving whole numbersWell organized, able to multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently and complete daily workload with limited supervision.Must have the ability to follow instructions for completing routine and repetitive tasksWorking ConditionsThe duties of this position are performed in a warehouse setting. There is continuous exposure to dust, noise, temperature extremes, equipment movement hazards and electrical shock. There is constant pressure to meet deadlines.
