This is a senior leadership role with clear accountability for audit outcomes, controllership excellence, and team development.You will act as the strategic finance partner to cross-functional leaders: building scalable accounting processes, leading a high-performing team, and ensuring financial rigor as Imprint scales to a multi-billion dollar portfolio across 20+ programs.This role blends hands-on technical accounting with team leadership, process innovation, and partnership across the business.What Success Looks Like In The First 90 DaysStabilized accounting operations and established a sustainable team structure to support continued scalingBuilt a clear hiring and development plan to reduce key person dependencies and strengthen bench depthRedesigned at least one critical accounting process to improve efficiency and scalabilityEstablished trusted partnerships with audit firms and cross-functional leadersSuccessfully closed books on time with improved data accuracy and reduced manual effortIdentified opportunities to leverage automation and technology to accelerate financial close and reportingResponsibilitiesOwn all accounting operations, including financial reporting, month-end close, and external audit managementBuild and lead a high-performing accounting team, developing individual contributors who can drive work autonomouslyPartner with business leaders to provide accounting guidance that balances technical rigor with business contextRedesign accounting processes to support scale, complexity, and speed as Imprint growsLead audit relationships with creativity and judgment, navigating gray areas while maintaining strong controlsImplement automation and technology solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual workEnsure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements across all programs and partnershipsTranslate complex accounting concepts into clear business insights for non-finance stakeholdersDrive cross-functional collaboration to reduce bottlenecks and enable faster decision-makingQualificationsRequired8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership roleDeep technical accounting expertise, including GAAP, financial reporting, and audit managementProven track record building and developing high-performing accounting teamsExperience scaling accounting operations in high-growth, complex business environmentsStrong partnership skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate across functionsCreative problem solver who can navigate ambiguity and find innovative accounting solutionsComfort with technology, automation, and modern tools to accelerate workClear, thoughtful communicator with strong judgment and the ability to push for clarityNice to HaveExperience in fintech, B2B, or B2B2C business models with program-based accountingBackground managing complex contracts, multi-party arrangements, or loan accountingFamiliarity with managing accounting across multiple entities or geographiesTrack record implementing automation or process improvements that meaningfully reduced close timelinesPerks & BenefitsCompetitive compensation and equity packagesLeading configured work computers of your choiceFlexible paid time offFully covered, high-quality healthcare, including fully covered dependent coverageAdditional health coverage includes access to One Medical and the option to enroll in an FSA20 weeks of paid parental leave for the primary caregiver and 8 weeks for all new parentsAccess to industry-leading technology across all of our business units, stemming from our philosophy that we should invest in resources for our team that foster innovation, optimization, and productivityImprint is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
