The Patient Care Coordinator plays an essential role in ensuring a smooth patient experience while supporting NIH program objectives. These full time, on-site positions are based on the NIH campus in Bethesda, MD or Baltimore, MD.Coordinate patient-related activities to support efficient and high-quality care deliveryServe as a liaison between patients, clinical staff, and administrative teamsAssist with scheduling, referrals, follow-ups, and care coordination activitiesSupport patient intake processes, documentation, and record maintenanceHelp ensure patients receive timely information and support throughout their care journeyTrack patient interactions and care coordination activities using established systemsAdherent to privacy, confidentiality, and compliance requirementsWhat You Will NeedAssociate degreeA minimum of ONE (1) year of experience in patient coordination, healthcare administration, and/or clinical support rolesStrong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approachAbility to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalismStrong organizational skills and attention to detailFamiliarity with healthcare workflows, referrals, or care management processesKnowledge of healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA)Proficiency with electronic health records (EHRs) or similar data systemsAbility to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teamsMust be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust. Candidates must receive approved adjudication of their Public Trust prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
