Join our team as a Survey Technician/Surveyor at Burgess & Niple! Collaborate with industry leaders, learn from experienced surveyors, and work as part of a project team on a wide variety of tasks and projects in the field and office.B&N Survey Technician/Surveyor ResponsibilitiesPerform office survey work under the direction of a Professional Surveyor on INDOT and utility infrastructure improvement projectsPerform survey computations for boundaries, subdivisions, easements, and existing topographic base mapping; deed research in various jurisdictions; utility locate requestsAssist on preparation of plats, legal descriptions, and INDOT right-of-way plansOperate CADD and survey softwareRegularly communication with designers, state, and local agenciesAssist with field survey work as requiredSkills & QualificationsHigh school diploma requiredMinimum of four (4) years of surveying experience processing survey data and preparing topographic surveys and plats of surveyUse of Civil3D or Open Roads survey software, experience with MS Word and ExcelStrong communication and organization skillsValid driver’s license with a good driving recordAbility to travel within the region as requiredSelf-motivated and adaptable, tech savvy that includes the capability to learn new surveying technologies We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, age, national origin, disability status, marital status, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
