Job DescriptionJob Title: Psychiatrist (Private Practice + Research Focused)Compensation: 60% of Net Collections; (Estimated earning potential of up to $300,000)Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor (practice requirement of 30+ hours per week)Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pmLocation: This is an in person role based out of Orlando, FLAPG Health, an ARC Health partner company, seeks a Private Practice and Research Focused Psychiatrist to practice at our Orlando, FL office.Role SummaryAPG Health is seeking an exceptional Board-Certified Psychiatrist (MD) with clinical research experience to join our Downtown Orlando office. This unique hybrid role allows a motivated physician to practice outpatient psychiatry and serve as a Principal Investigator (PI) for our expanding clinical research program. We are looking for a clinician who is passionate about providing high-quality psychiatric care while also contributing to innovative research that advances mental health treatment. Psychiatrist Responsibilities:Clinical Practice Duties:Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and create individualized treatment plansProvide medication management and supportive therapyTreat children, adolescents, adults, and older adults (ages 5–80)Maintain accurate, complete documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standardsCollaborate with therapists, PMHNPs, and support staffResearch/Private Investigator Duties (roughly 5-10 hours per week):Serve as Principal Investigator for assigned clinical trialsOversee study conduct, subject safety, and protocol adherencePerform patient assessments related to study participationCollaborate with research coordinators, sponsors, and CROsEnsure regulatory compliance and timely documentationParticipating in site selection, feasibility, and start-up activitiesPsychiatrist Compensation & Benefits: Competitive compensation package based on productivity: 60% Net Collections (Estimated earning potential up to $300,000 annually based on provider productivity)Additional compensation for Private Investigator (PI) responsibilities (up to $225/hr)Opportunities for professional development and continuing educationSupportive work environment with a focus on work-life balanceContribution to groundbreaking research in the field of psychiatryRequirementsActive, unrestricted medical license in FloridaBoard-Certified Psychiatrist (MD required)Possess and maintain a valid Drug Enforcement Administration ("DEA") number and all other licenses and certificates that may be lawfully required to prescribe medications, including controlled substances;Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice experienceClinical research experience required (Sub-Investigator or PI experience preferred)Ability to serve as Principal Investigator on active and upcoming clinical trialsComfortable treating patients across the lifespan (ages 5–80)Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatmentBilingual Spanish speaking provider preferred, but not required About APGAPG Health specializes in providing effective and efficient behavioral health care, psychiatric care and family counseling.
