Data Centre Project Manager | Texas | Full-Time, PermanentAbout the OpportunitySTEM Connex is proud to be partnering exclusively with a well-established Data Centre operator to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join their growing operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a mission-critical infrastructure professional to take ownership of complex, high-impact projects within a dynamic and fast-paced colocation environment.The RoleAs Data Centre Project Manager, you will be responsible for the full project lifecycle — from initial scoping and planning through to execution and closeout — across a range of infrastructure improvement, capacity expansion, and fit-out projects. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and facilities teams, as well as external vendors and contractors, to ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest operational standards.Key ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end delivery of data centre projects, including M&E upgrades, capacity expansions, and infrastructure improvements within live operational environmentsDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plansCoordinate cross-functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, controls, and IT disciplinesManage relationships with contractors, vendors, and third-party suppliersTrack project KPIs and provide regular progress reporting to senior stakeholdersDraft, review, and optimise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with safety and audit requirementsIdentify and mitigate risks to ensure maximum uptime and infrastructure availabilitySupport commissioning activities and ensure handover documentation is complete and accurateAbout YouEssential:Minimum 5 years' project management experience, with at least 3 years in data centre or mission-critical infrastructure environmentsStrong working knowledge of data centre M&E systems — power distribution, UPS, cooling (CRAC/CRAH), generators, and BMSProven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a live operational settingExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsExperience managing third-party contractors and vendor relationshipsProficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar)Desirable:PMP, PRINCE2, or APM qualificationCDCP / CDCS or equivalent data centre certificationFamiliarity with colocation environments and customer SLA managementExperience with DCIM platformsHow to ApplyIf you have the experience and drive to thrive in a mission-critical environment, we'd love to hear from you.
