News Director

Redwood Community Radio is seeking a News Director.This is a full time 32 hour/week position available for a qualified individual to manage the news department at KMUD - Redwood Community Radio Station in Redway Ca. The News Director will lead the News Department in its mission to provide a thoughtful contextual and significant public service. The KMUD local news will help listeners to both participate in society and make informed decisions.The News Director will maintain high editorial, ethical and technical standards for news production and reporting. Open and honest communication in all internal and external affairs is required.SUPERVISED BY AND REPORTS TO: KMUD Station Manager SUPERVISES: News Assistant, news stringers and interns. Redwood Community Radio broadcasts on KMUD-FM, KMUE-FM, KLAI-FM AND K258BQ in Shelter Cove, and streams and archives at www.kmud.org. The pay rate is $22-$25/hour based on experience.
