Orange County Neighborhood Services Division strives to engage and strengthen neighborhoods in Orange County through encouraging compliance with the relevant codes, neighborhood planning, community development, and outreach. The Neighborhood Services Division is seeking a highly qualified professional to fill the position of Program Coordinator to assist with administering the Division's grant and outreach programs. This is professional and administrative work planning, coordinating, and managing the various programs of a division. Work is performed with considerable independence under the general supervision of the Program Supervisor and Senior Program Manager. Job Description Representative Duties/Assignments: Oversees and coordinates division programs related to grants and outreach as part of the Beautification and Engagement Team in the Community, Development, and Outreach Section. Researches, analyzes, and evaluates programs, projects, and operational procedures. Assists with outreach to market the grants. Shepherds grants through the approval process and works with residents, stakeholders and vendors to implement projects. Assist with administering the division's outreach programs to include workshops, community cleanups, etc. Attends evening meetings, community meetings and occasionally attend community events on the weekends. Investigates conflicts, provides recommendations for resolution, oversees the issuance of field-specific permits, and assists in gathering information. Monitors vendor contracts and internal purchasing functions to ensure compliance with County regulations. Collaborates with internal divisions and acts as a liaison with external agencies and organizations. Maintains files and statistical reports related to this program. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and one (1) year of experience in program management, human resource services, public services or working with citizens coordinating projects/programs. In lieu of the degree requirements, additional relevant experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. Preferences Experience working with neighborhoods, civic, or nonprofit organizations. Salary Information Pay Grade: 015 - From $25.00 to $32.49 FLSA Status: Exempt Placement based on Education and Experience Sign-on Incentive This position may be eligible for a Sign-on Incentive.
