In This Position, You WillProvide electrical services throughout the Smithsonian facilities for the installation of electrical wiring systems, fixtures, controls and equipment for the mission, health, comfort and safety of occupants and visitors. Repair, modify, maintain and troubleshoot the premise wiring systems of facilities to include interior and exterior wiring, lighting, control circuits, emergency and standby power systems and signaling circuit wiring together with all their associated hardware, fittings and wiring devices, both permanently and temporarily installed. Require extensive adaption of methods, including the fabrication, installation, modification, and/or troubleshooting of specialized electrical control or monitoring systems and equipment designed to meet unique conditions associated with research projects.
