Human Resources Generalist (San Antonio)

Develops and coordinates department activities that support the Company's mission, vision, and values.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:HR Generalist ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with Company leadership to develop goals and strategies related to staffing, recruiting, retention, and employee developmentWorks closely with managers and employees to improve communication, strengthen teamwork, build morale, and increase productivity, engagement, and retentionLeads full-cycle recruiting and interview planning for open positions, partnering with hiring managers and key stakeholdersActs as the Company's recruitment brand champion and collaborates with Marketing and external partners to enhance employer brandingMaintains applicant tracking and job requisition systems to support compliance, reporting, and data-driven decision-makingDevelops, tracks, and reports recruiting metrics on a regular basisConducts job analyses and maintains accurate job descriptions aligned with required knowledge, skills, and abilitiesPerforms onboarding activities, including new hire orientation, department rotations, and required training programsEmployee Relations & ComplianceServes as a point of contact for employee relations matters, providing guidance and resolution support to employees and managersConducts workplace investigations, documents findings, and partners with leadership to determine appropriate outcomesSupports compliance with employment laws and regulations, including responding to TWC (Texas Workforce Commission) audits and unemployment claimsAssists with government and regulatory reporting requirements, including EEOC, EEO-1, OSHA 300/300A, and other auditsBenefits & Employee EngagementManages benefits administration processes, including reviewing and reconciling benefits invoicesLeads and coordinates open enrollment, including employee communication, education, and system updatesAdministers employee engagement surveys, analyzes results, and partners with leadership to develop and implement action plansDrives initiatives to enhance employee experience and workplace cultureWorkforce & Vendor ManagementBuilds and maintains strong relationships with staffing agencies (e.g., contract labor providers) to support workforce needsCoordinates temporary staffing efforts, including onboarding, tracking, and performance feedback for contractorsMonitors contractor utilization and supports workforce planning effortsPerformance & DevelopmentSupports performance management processes, including reviews, coaching, and succession planningProvides training and guidance to managers on best practices for leading, developing, and retaining their teamsAssists with compensation analysis for new and existing roles to ensure competitive and equitable pay practicesPerforms other duties as assigned to support HR operations and organizational objectivesKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Exceptional interviewing skillsExceptional candidate relationship management skillsExceptional writing and grammar skillsExceptional verbal communication skillsWorking knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment lawsHigh technical aptitude and advanced skills in Microsoft OfficeExceptional analytical skills as applies to metrics and reportingExceptional organizational skills with strong adherence to meeting deadlinesRequired Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related fieldSeven years of related Human Resources experience in multiple human resources disciplinesProfessional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-CP certification, or related recruiting certificationWorking Environment:Smoke free workplace.Lucifer Lighting Company is an equal opportunity employer
