Production Packer

We have an immediate opportunity for a Production Packer. In this function you will perform various production related tasks such as loading materials into machines, sorting, checking, and packaging products.Starting Pay: $16.00/hour for Day Shift, $16.75/hour (includes $0.75 shift differential) for Night Shift. Advance your career to the next level at $17.00! Shift Times: 7:00 am-7:15 pm (A & B shifts) and 7:00 pm-7:15 am (C & D shifts). Rotating 12-hour shifts with every other weekend off!Our Benefits And Incentives Include,Medical, Dental, and Vision coveragePayday is every FridayWellness program401K with company matchShort & Long-Term Disability (STD/LTD)Company-paid Life InsuranceFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for Medical & Dependent CareEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) – including counseling, legal advice, childcare referrals and financial planning supportSafety shoe subsidy and prescription safety glasses discountCancer Expert Now – access to expert consultations for cancer diagnosis and treatment guidanceAnd much more!ResponsibilitiesFollows plant safety procedures and guidelinesKnow emergency procedures and what to do in the event of power outages, machine failures, workplace injuries, etc.Wears and utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) as requiredUnderstand and identifies Lock-out/Tag-out proceduresInforms supervisor of safety issues; reports any workplace injury or incident immediatelyActively participates in the D&W safety improvement process/activities, e.g., Hazard Identification, Safety Suggestions, Safety Teams, etc.Performs various production related tasks such as loading materials into machines and packing a wide variety of productsExamine products to verify conformance to quality standardsMaintains his or her work area in neat conditionAssists other workers with specific task as requestedFollow plant quality practices including Good Manufacturing Practices, or GMP’sStack, wrap and label raw materials or finished goodsRecord product, packaging and order information on specified forms and recordsSupports the Plant’s Food Safety initiatives by completing plant required Food Safety training and by implementing / complying with the required practices.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. Willingness to work and follow verbal/written instructions May be required to use floor loading trucksModerate computer skills Ability to work safely, willingness to train in cross-functional areas, and work overtime as needed.More than a job.
