Full Stack EngineerThis role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining applications that support reinsurance administration systems for life and annuity products. You will work as part of a small, collaborative team of developers, building scalable solutions and enhancing existing systems to meet evolving business needs. The position requires strong full stack development experience, a solid understanding of system architecture, and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.The BasicsDuration: 10 monthsHours per week: 40 hoursLocation: Hybrid in Milwaukee, WIRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience4+ years of professional experience in software engineering or application developmentStrong experience building solutions using agile methodologies with a focus on client needsProficiency with React, HTML5, CSS, functional components, hooks, and ReduxExperience with NodeJS using JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java Spring BootFamiliarity with DevOps practices, Git, and monitoring or logging tools such as Dynatrace or ELKExperience with AWS services including SQS, Lambda, S3, or KafkaKnowledge of both relational and non relational databasesExperience with Postgres and DynamoDB preferredStrong understanding of system design patterns and architectural principlesAbility to communicate effectively with both technical team members and business stakeholdersStrong problem solving and analytical skillsExperience conducting peer reviews of design and codeKey ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable applications supporting reinsurance administration systemsCollaborate with developers and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutionsBuild and enhance front end and back end components using modern frameworks and technologiesContribute to architectural decisions and ensure alignment with best practices and design patternsPerform peer reviews of code and design to maintain quality and consistencyParticipate in agile ceremonies and contribute to iterative development processesIntegrate applications with AWS services and cloud based infrastructureMonitor application performance and troubleshoot issues using appropriate toolingEnsure code quality, performance, and reliability across systemsContinuously improve development processes and contribute to team knowledge sharingIn this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including financial information.
