In this role, you will support projects focused on Shimadzu's Molecular Spectroscopy product line, including the development of application-focused technical content and instructional materials. This role is ideal for a student who is interested in analytical instrumentation, enjoys both laboratory and communication-based work, and wants to gain exposure to how scientific products are supported in a professional environment.JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Operate UV/Vis spectrophotometers and related Molecular Spectroscopy instruments in support of application-based projectsAssist with the design and execution of experiments to generate original analytical dataSupport the development of Application Notes for use in sales, marketing, and customer support effortsHelp plan, script, and produce instructional video content for Molecular Spectroscopy productsCollaborate with Product Management and the Southeast Regional teamAssist with preparing written summaries, presentations, and other project-related materialsPresent internship outcomes and key learnings at the conclusion of the programEDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:Currently enrolled as a Virginia Tech undergraduate student and not graduating in May 2026Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or aboveCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related disciplineStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workCuriosity, initiative, and a desire to bridge science with industryShimadzu is not accepting unsolicited assistance from search firms for this employment opportunity.
