Headquartered in Moline, IL, GBSI supports clients and consultants throughout the US, Canada, Europe, and India.Join our innovative team to lead enterprise-grade SAP solutions and drive digital transformation initiatives across global enterprises.Position OverviewThe SAP PP/DS/APO Consultant will be responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and continuous enhancement of SAP Production Planning and Advanced Planning solutions, with a strong focus on SAP PP/DS (Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling) and SAP APO.This role will support enterprise planning, manufacturing, forecasting, and supply chain optimization initiatives while serving as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. The consultant will analyze business requirements, implement scalable SAP planning solutions, and ensure seamless integration with SAP S/4HANA and related SAP modules.The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP PP/DS, APO, production planning processes, and supply chain execution within complex manufacturing environments.Key ResponsibilitiesSAP PP/DS & APO SupportAct as the primary support consultant for SAP PP/DS and APO applicationsTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to production planning, scheduling, and supply chain executionSupport end-users with incident resolution and system enhancementsMonitor and optimize planning processes for operational efficiencySystem Design & ConfigurationDesign, configure, and enhance SAP PP/DS and APO solutions based on business requirementsConfigure planning heuristics, scheduling profiles, product allocation, and supply planning processesPerform impact analysis and implement system changes aligned with business objectivesEnsure seamless integration with SAP S/4HANA, MM, SD, and WM/EWM modulesProcess Improvement & OptimizationIdentify opportunities to improve manufacturing and supply chain planning workflowsDrive process optimization initiatives using SAP PP/DS/APO capabilitiesRecommend best practices for planning automation, forecasting, and scheduling efficiencySupport continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain operationsStakeholder CollaborationCollaborate with business users, functional teams, and SAP vendors to deliver scalable solutionsTranslate business requirements into technical and functional SAP solutionsProvide regular project updates, risk assessments, and status reporting to leadership teamsTechnical Leadership & MentorshipServe as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SAP PP/DS and APO functionalitiesMentor junior consultants and analysts on SAP planning processes and configurationsParticipate in solution architecture discussions and enhancement estimationsSupport project planning, execution, testing, and deployment activitiesTesting & DocumentationPerform unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)Maintain functional specifications, configuration documents, and process documentationSupport training sessions and knowledge transfer activities for end-users and support teamsRequired Skills & CompetenciesStrong hands-on experience with SAP PP/DS and SAP APO – MANDATORYExperience with SAP Production Planning (PP) and Supply Chain Planning processesStrong integration experience with SAP S/4HANAExperience with SAP Fiori applications and planning dashboardsStrong understanding of manufacturing, forecasting, and scheduling processesExcellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in cross-functional and matrix-driven environmentsStrong communication and stakeholder management capabilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced project environmentsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field ORHigh School Diploma/GED with 10+ years of relevant SAP experience in lieu of degree10+ years of SAP functional consulting experience in PP/DS, APO, or Production PlanningProven experience supporting enterprise SAP implementations and enhancementsStrong understanding of SAP best practices and supply chain processesProficiency in Microsoft Office toolsPreferred QualificationsExperience with SAP S/4HANA implementations and migrationsHands-on expertise in SAP APO modules including SNP, DP, or GATPExperience with SAP IBP integration scenariosKnowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5 applicationsExposure to SAP EWM or Warehouse Management integrationsExperience working within Manufacturing, Automotive, Pharma, or Life Sciences industriesFamiliarity with SAP Security concepts and role-based access controlsLocation: Madison, WI / Redwood City, CAEqual Employment OpportunityGeniusBSI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
