Quality Control TechnicianMake an Impact in Quality & Product ExcellenceWe're seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to help ensure raw materials and finished products meet established quality standards. This role goes beyond routine testing and involves investigating quality issues, performing analytical testing, and supporting continuous product excellence in a fast-paced laboratory environment.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and approve incoming materials and finished products for quality compliancePerform laboratory testing, including pH, specific gravity, titrations, microbiological testing, chromatography, and other analytical methodsConduct sensory evaluationsInvestigate quality deviations and support root cause analysis effortsCalibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipmentAccurately document test results and communicate findings to the quality teamFollow all safety, quality, and regulatory requirementsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field preferred1-3 years of quality control laboratory experience in food, beverage, ingredient, chemical, or related manufacturing environmentsExperience with chromatography (GC preferred) and analytical laboratory equipmentStrong understanding of chemistry principles and laboratory practicesExcellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skillsPreferred ExperienceMicrobiological testing experienceKnowledge of GMPs and quality systemsExperience with wet chemistry techniques and laboratory instrumentationAbility to work collaboratively in a team-based environmentStrong critical thinking and troubleshooting abilitiesSchedule & EnvironmentMonday-Friday | 10:00 AM-6:30 PMClean, modern laboratory settingCollaborative and team-oriented cultureJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Deerfield, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
