General Description
The purpose of this position is to manage data and technology assets including hardware and software for the Upward Bound Project, teach and provide guidance and development for project participants, coordinate participant and instructor scheduling, and participate in project planning and activities.
Essential Job Duties
Manage project database, including updating student records as needed.
Develop and run reports from the project database for internal users.
Schedule student classes, coordinate schedules with Academic Coordinator and instructors
Reserve rooms.
Assist other UB staff and students with technology issues as needed.
Assist program faculty in developing online and hybrid classes and resources as needed
Plan project activities with UB staff.
Manage UB website and social media.
Teach development and academic classes to participants.
Recruit program participants.
Track participant attendance and participation.
Track former participant postsecondary status.
Travel with students as needed

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Intermediate knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office 365 apps.
Basic knowledge and skills in Canvas, Adobe Acrobat, and Wordpress;
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
Ability to work some night and weekend hours as required.
Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Technology, Counseling, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
