Class A Climber

We are looking for an experienced Class A Climber to perform tree climbing and rigging operations for land clearing and vegetation management projects. This role is critical in ensuring safe and efficient removal of trees and limbs in areas that cannot be accessed by equipment. The ideal candidate has advanced climbing skills, experience with ropes and rigging systems, and a strong commitment to safety. Key Responsibilities: Safely climb trees using ropes, saddles, and other climbing gear to remove limbs and whole trees Perform rigging operations to safely lower large limbs and sections of trees Operate chainsaws, hand saws, and other tree care equipment aloft and on the ground Communicate with ground crew to ensure safe and efficient operations Inspect climbing and rigging equipment daily and report defects or concerns Maintain a safe work environment by following OSHA, ANSI, and company safety guidelines Assist with debris removal, cleanup, and other land clearing tasks as needed Train and mentor junior crew members in safe climbing techniques and ground support Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of professional climbing experience (land clearing, utility, or tree service) Strong knowledge of climbing systems, knots, and rigging techniques Ability to operate chainsaws and other cutting tools safely while aloft Demonstrative commitment to safety and situational awareness Valid driver’s license Ability to travel to job sites (per diem provided where applicable) ISA Certified Tree Worker or equivalent certification preferred but not required Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 75 lbs. regularly Comfortable working in high positions in trees, and in physically demanding conditions Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and perform strenuous tasks for extended periods Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and terrain conditions Benefits: Competitive pay (based on experience) Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off plus holidays Advancement opportunities
