FC Production Trainer

OverviewAs our Fulfillment Center Production Trainer, you will be responsible for facilitating orientation and maintaining training materials for new hires. You will also provide production, safety, employee engagement, and XP training to warehouse associates.This position takes place at our La Vista (114th & Giles) location with a 6am-2:30pm schedule.Detailed DescriptionPrincipal Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential FunctionsUpdates and facilitates orientation presentations, orientation materials, and fulfillment center/personalization/MindWare training curriculum Maintains and updates all new hire and training assistant training checklists Conducts training assistant certifications Responsible for scheduling training room for training and follow up training Provide safety training on the production floor pertinent to production Conducts OJT for new hires on Order Filler duties specific to either picking or packing Schedules and conducts follow up training for XP and employee engagement Administers employee engagement surveys and all yearly trainings Monitors progress of new hires and provides support as needed Perform follow up coaching as requested Provide retraining and cross-training of associates on warehouse operations with established procedures as requested Assist with XP kick-offs to include training of assigned associates and coaching Present and/or participate in T.I.M. meetings Must maintain confidentiality and project a positive professional image at all times Enter employee data into database as needed Responsible for the check in and orientation of temporary labor May be necessary to work required extra hours based on business needs, to include weekends Must be able to work in production as needed May be asked to perform in a Production 3-Deep capacity Regular attendance to OTC training classes is required Flexible scheduling is required Must be able to work with several employees at one time Regular and predictable attendance is required Promotes an environment that encourages employee engagement Actively participate in your Impact planning sessions and work to improve your engagement Works in a performance management environment Abide by all policies and procedures of Oriental Trading Company Must be able to attend face to face meetings on short or little advance notice Work requires in-person collaboration among colleagues and contractorsMarginal FunctionsPerforms other duties assigned May need to work at other locations as neededHere's what you need to join the fun:Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesMust be able to work independently with little or no direction and schedule own job assignmentsAbility to work in a fast paced environment where situations can change at a moments noticeMust be at least 18 years oldMust be able to work with all levels of managementPC skills required including Power Point Presentations, Outlook, ExcelAverage reading and math abilityGood communication skillsGood people skills, confident, and approachableDetail orientedProficiency in at least one area with established procedures under XP preferredKnowledgeable of the policies and procedures of XP preferredProven performance under XP (minimum 80% 4-week average)Proven accuracy under XPAbility to work independently and/or as part of a team environmentAbility to respond with flexibility to changing work demandsEducation* High School Diploma or equivalentExperience* Previous training experience in a multi-flow production environment preferred* 1 year OTC production experience preferredOther QualificationsAbility to walk or stand for the duration of the shiftAbility to frequently push, squat, bend, and reach overheadAbility to frequently lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 poundsAbility to occasionally climb stairs and ladders to reach assigned work area and productAbility to work in elevated work areas up to 28 feet highJoin us at Oriental Trading, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, where fun means business!Oriental Trading Company (www.orientaltrading.com), is the nation's largest direct retailer of value-priced party supplies, arts and crafts, toys and novelties, and a leading provider of teaching supplies and affordable home décor and giftware.
