Civil Engineer

The Civil Engineer (CE) position requires a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices. The CE will be responsible for engineering future projects and supporting the construction and post-construction phases of current projects as assigned by the President or the VP of Operations. The CE will draft conceptual plans, develop highly accurate engineering details and schedules, coordinate across engineering disciplines, and perform or supervise site survey activities while helping to build out the Engineering department. During construction, the CE will also develop or oversee the development of mechanical layout drawings and as-built drawings. The position requires periodic travel between Maryland, Delaware, and North Carolina. The employee must have a Professional Engineer stamp or be able to obtain it within six months of employment.Required Skills:Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practicesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering softwareExperience in site survey activities
