Safety Specialist

Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Safety Specialist, based in San Diego, CA. The Safety Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and implementing safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Daily tasks include conducting safety training programs, performing accident investigations, assessing workplace safety hazards, and recommending corrective actions. The Safety Specialist will work closely with teams across the organization to promote a culture of safety and ensure health and safety measures are understood and adhered to by all employees.QualificationsProficiency in Health & Safety practices, Occupational Health systems, and Environment Health and Safety (EHS) standards.Strong knowledge in Safety Training techniques and program delivery.Experience in conducting thorough and effective Accident Investigations.Ability to assess, document, and remediate workplace hazards.Solid understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements.Strong communication and leadership skills to influence and guide teams.Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred.Certifications such as OSHA, CSP, or NEBOSH are a plus.
