As the Database Developer, you will talk to users in gathering requirements and understand various internal/external dependencies that are very dynamic in nature and also require leadership across the full Systems Development Lifecycle as well as expertise in Data Warehousing architecture data modeling and coding.The Senior Database Developer WillDesign, develop and maintain relational and dimensional databases supporting the data warehouse and data martsCreate entity relationship diagrams, data dictionaries and mapping documentsUtilize advanced transact-SQL, including stored procedures, ETL and OLAP tools to implement solutionsSupport implemented solutions by: monitoring and tuning queries and data loads, addressing user questions concerning data integrity, monitoring performance and communicating functional and technical issuesPerform code inspections and re-factor code to meet standardsParticipate in data model reviews, walkthroughs, application and module performance analysisPerform other related duties as required and assignedDemonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and valuesWhat You’ll Bring2+ years in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Powershell or programming languages such as C# or JavaExperience in developing OLAP cubes and data visualization technologiesAbility to perform routine DBA tasks including setting up access policy, data migrations, ETL operations, troubleshooting, and performance optimizationAbility to scope out requirements, work with business side as well as tech side, etcProgramming experience with emphasis on designing complex SQL queries and business componentsPreferredFinancial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferredWhy You Should JoinAs one of the top mortgage lenders in the country, Pennymac has helped over 4 million lifetime homeowners achieve and sustain their aspirations of home.
