We are seeking a Structural Engineer with 5+ years of experience to work with our team on a wide range of projects focuses primarily on delivering tunnel, underground, and water infrastructure.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in the design of the challenging heavy civil projects located in California, and across the country. Additionally, this position offers a great opportunity for a motivated, detail oriented, team-centric Engineer to work on anything from small, local jobs to large scale transit, rail, highway, water, and wastewater projects.Candidates should have a passion for taking on new and challenging tasks and have a solid understanding of engineering principles. Previous underground experience is preferred, but not required.ResponsibilitiesStructural design and reporting (engineering, data analysis, calculation reports)Coordinate between multiple disciplines to ensure a fully integrated designManage the design process and provide support to project managers and design engineersCollaborate with and provide task-oriented oversight to junior technical staffTrack design progress versus timelines and budgetsDirect the Design Technology Specialists and other members of the drawing production team on the proper depiction of designs in plan, section, and detailParticipate in the QA/QC process for all completed design work prior to submittal to the clientReview contractor submittalsProvide occasional onsite field support for construction-phase projectsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering from an accredited schoolFive years of design experience in structural engineeringFamiliarity with the latest structural design codes and standards including ACI-318, ASCE-7, AISC 360, and AASHTO LRFD BDSCA Professional Engineer (PE) license or intent to obtain CA Professional Engineer licensure within one year of hiringProficiency with AutoDesk products including the use of Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCADProficiency with structural analysis software such as SAP2000, CSiBridge, Strand7Strong personal organizational, technical writing, and time management skills as well as the ability to prioritize to meet deadlinesPreferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in structural engineeringCA Structural Engineer (SE) license or intent to obtain SE licensure within 2 yearsExperience in the design of underground structuresExperience with geotechnical design or examples of close collaboration with geotechnical design teamsAffiliations with professional engineering societiesARE YOU READY TO JOIN OUR TEAM?If you feel that you would be right for this position, please fill out our application so that we can review your information.
