Mechanical Engineer

Job DescriptionSummary:Mu-Del Electronics is looking to hire a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop RF components, sub-systems and systems to support the manufacturing of specialized RF products. The Mechanical Engineer will develop, design, sketch specifications; create and/or supervise the creation of prototypes for proposed products and packaging concepts.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, with 1 – 5 years of work experience in analysis, design and development of electromechanical equipment, components, assemblies and systemsApplicable co-op experience can be applied to years of experienceExperience with SolidworksExperience with mechanical design for manufacturing of electronic products and/or assembliesHave working knowledge and understanding of electronic/electro-mechanical packaging, including design with respect to heat transfer, shock, vibration and harsh environmentsGeneral knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and associated tolerancesWorked with electronic components and PCBs, preferably RFFamiliarity with shock and vibration, specifically per military 810 (MIL-STD-810G) specifications and proceduresHave excellent people, written, and communications skillsEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Participate in the assembly and testing of engineering prototype designsAbility to perform heat transfer and predicted stress analysis using classical engineering methods and simulation toolsDevelop, design, sketch, specify and create prototypes of proposed packaging/system – to present for design approvalThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this jobDuties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without noticeCompensation Is Commensurate With Experience And Qualifications.Must be able to pass background screening.Applicants must be Green Card holders or US Citizens only.Company DescriptionMu-Del Electronics has led the way since 1967 with advanced IF/RF and Microwave Products and Amplifiers for the Defense Electronics, Aerospace, Telemetry and other high-end commercial industries.
