Tool And Die Maker
Tool and Die Maker As a Tool and Die Maker, you will be responsible for setting up and operating all Tool Room manual machinery, including grinders, lathes, and mills. You will disassemble, inspect, assess, repair, and sharpen dies according to specifications and assemble dies and sub-assemblies per drawings. You will also perform final inspections of parts produced from tools and be in charge of overall equipment maintenance and documentation.Responsibilities:Set up and operate all Tool Room manual machinery, including grinders, lathes, and mills.Disassemble, inspect, assess, repair, and sharpen dies as per specifications.Assemble dies and sub-assemblies according to drawings.Perform final inspection of parts produced from tools.Conduct overall equipment maintenance and documentation as assigned by a Supervisor.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential Skills:Minimum of three years of experience in tool and die.Possession of a TMA certificate or equivalent.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Proficiency in using all Tool Room measuring equipment.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Ability to handle multiple assigned tasks.Capability to lift up to 35 lbs.Why Work Here?We offer a supportive work environment where your skills and expertise are valued. The work environment includes the use of various Tool Room machinery and equipment, requiring adherence to safety standards. The dress code is practical and safety-oriented.Job Type & Location:This is a Permanent position based out of Northbrook, IL.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
