School Based Therapist - Part Time

Child and Family Focus (CFF) has partnered with DCIU to provide intensive behavioral and mental health supports to students placed in DCIU Aston Education Center, and The County Alternative High School (TCA). The position of the School Based Therapist will work with the CFF team as well as DCIU teachers and staff in the classrooms to facilitate behavioral management and modification techniques. This position will work along with the students identified behavioral plans in an effort to decrease identified challenging behaviors.This position is responsible for providing clinical care in the school setting for children & adolescents (ages 5-22). She/he/they will utilize assessment tools to identify areas for interventions and partner with district staff to support the student in a manner that is conducive to all aspects of wellness. While working as part of a team, this position requires a significant amount of autonomy, and ideal candidates will possess the ability to adapt approaches based on the individual needs of students.Please note that this position is part-time for the 2025–2026 school year.  This position offers the potential for growth, including Extended School Year (ESY) hours, and the opportunity to transition into a full-time role for the 2026–2027 school year!Required Qualifications:Master’s Degree in human services or related field including psychology, counseling, or social workOne or more year of clinical experience 2 or more years of experience providing therapy to children & adolescentsPreferred Qualifications:Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, or Licensed Clinical Social WorkerResponsibilities:Provide direct services to individuals, families, and groups through a wide variety of treatment modalities including but not limited to behavior modification, individual, group, and family therapies in multiple school settings.Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques, in individual and group settingsCreate, maintain, and update client documentation to address client specific needs.Coordinate total care given by collaborating with multidisciplinary professionals to provide and facilitate care in accordance with policies and procedures, philosophy and objectives of Child and Family Focus and the DCIU.Coordinate and triage all referrals while ensuring care is provided in a timely mannerServe as a liaison between Child and Family Focus, school district staff and the DCIU, focusing on customer services, community partnerships, and advocacy for students in needUtilize multiple electronic health records, when neededUse and implement the 5 core values of Trauma-Informed Care in all work practices - Safety, Trustworthiness, Choice, Collaboration, & Empowerment.Additional duties as assignedWork Environment:Work in standard office environment as well as school-based settings.Part-Time Compensation and Benefits:Pay rate of $24 an hourAnnual Salary IncreasePublic Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)401K plan with company match and profit sharingMileage and Expense reimbursement for travel and trainingClearance Reimbursement IF you move into full-time employment for the 2026-2027 school year, you may become eligible for the additional full-time benefits listed below at that time:Medical and Vision Benefits offered on first day of employment, 3 plan options offered by Independence Blue CrossDental Benefits offered on first day of employment, 2 plan options offered by GuardianAncillary Benefits offered on first day of employment, such as Accident, Critical Illness, Cancer, Short Term DisabilityLong Term Disability and $50,000 Life Insurance Policy provided by CFF7 days of Paid Time Off to use throughout the school year Paid Winter and Spring Break (10 total days)Paid Parental LeaveTuition Reimbursement *Bonus amounts could be prorated based on number of hours workedChild & Family Focus is an equal opportunity and drug free employer. We provide equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, gender identity, or genetics.
