As a Senior Sous Chef, you will support the Executive Chef in delivering exceptional food quality, consistency, and presentation while helping lead kitchen operations that exceed guest expectations. You will play a key role in maintaining standards, developing culinary talent, and ensuring safe, efficient execution across all service areas.QualificationsCulinary degree or equivalent professional culinary trainingMinimum of 3-5 years of progressive culinary leadership experienceDemonstrated knowledge of food safety and sanitation standardsExperience with high-volume or event-driven culinary operationsProficiency in inventory control, ordering, and cost management systemsKey ResponsibilitiesSupport execution of all culinary operations and menu standardsSupervise and guide Sous Chefs and kitchen team membersEnsure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and safety standardsAssist with scheduling and labor planning to meet business demandsMonitor food quality, consistency, and presentation across all outletsSupport training and development of culinary team membersDetails of OperationSupport operations for NYRA's horse racing facilities in New York, working under the direction of the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef, and assisting in the overseeing of the Culinary departmental units including hourly culinary supervisors/cooks/etc.Levy operates all of the food and beverage areas for New York Racing Association's thoroughbred horse racing tracks - Belmont Race Track in Elmont (reopening Fall 2026*), and Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs. This position will be based at Belmont Race Track.
