Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in Metuchen, NJ, for a Staff Accountant with expertise in Sage software. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and assisting with budgets. The role includes maintaining accurate records in Sage and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Staff Accountant will also collaborate with other team members on financial reporting, payroll processing, and providing insights for improved financial decision-making. Qualifications Expertise in accounting software with a focus on Sage, as well as proficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong knowledge of managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entriesExperience with payroll processing and tax complianceAnalytical skills for financial reporting, budget preparation, and reconciliationAttention to detail and accuracy in maintaining financial records and processing transactionsStrong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlinesEffective communication and team collaboration skillsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldTwo or more years of accounting experience, preferably in the transportation or logistics industryFamiliarity with ISO standards or experience in a regulated industry is a plus
