Job SummaryWe are seeking a Houston-based, client-facing SAP S/4HANA P2P (MM) Application Support Consultant with IS-Oil expertise to manage day-to-day support operations, BAU activities, and stakeholder communication in a live Oil & Gas environment.The consultant will play a key role in incident management, user support, and coordination between onshore/offshore teams, ensuring seamless business operations.The ideal candidate will play a key role in incident management, user support, and coordination between onshore/offshore teams, ensuring smooth business operations and high system reliability.Key Responsibilities1. Client Engagement & CommunicationAct as a primary point of contact for business users and client stakeholdersManage day-to-day communication with client teams, ensuring clarity and timely updatesLead/participate in daily stand-ups, triage calls, and status meetingsProvide functional advisory and business-friendly solutions to client issuesBuild strong relationships with business users and ensure high customer satisfaction2. Application Support & BAU Operations (L2/L3)Handle day-to-day incidents, service requests, and BAU activitiesEnsure timely resolution of tickets within defined SLAsSupport end-to-end P2P processes (PR, PO, GR, Invoice, Vendor Management)Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measuresEnsure business continuity with minimal disruption3. Coordination with Onshore–Offshore TeamsWork closely with global delivery teams (onshore & offshore)Coordinate task assignments, track progress, and ensure seamless handoffs across time zonesAct as a bridge between client and offshore teams for issue resolutionEnsure proper documentation, knowledge transfer, and collaboration4. Incident, Problem & Change ManagementManage high-priority (P1/P2) incidents and escalations effectivelyParticipate in incident triage and problem management discussionsSupport change requests (CRs), enhancements, and defect fixesFollow and enforce ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management)5. IS-Oil & Gas Functional SupportSupport industry-specific Oil & Gas procurement and logistics processesHandle issues related to:Hydrocarbon procurementBulk inventory & storageTransportation and terminal operationsEnsure system processes align with industry standards and compliance6. Enhancements & Continuous ImprovementIdentify and implement process improvements and automation opportunitiesPrepare functional specifications (RICEFW) for enhancementsDrive efficiency and optimization in procurement operations7. Testing & Release SupportSupport SIT/UAT cycles and regression testingCoordinate with teams for transport movement and release deploymentsValidate fixes before production releaseRequired Skills & QualificationsFunctional ExpertiseStrong experience in SAP S/4HANA MM – P2P Support (AMS environment)Deep knowledge of procurement lifecycle:PR → PO → GR → Invoice VerificationInventory and Vendor ManagementMM-FI integrationIndustry ExperienceMandatory: IS-Oil / Oil & Gas domain experienceUnderstanding of energy sector supply chain and procurement processesSupport & Coordination SkillsProven experience in:Client-facing rolesHandling day-to-day incidents and BAU activitiesWorking with onshore/offshore delivery modelsExperience with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.)Technical KnowledgeExposure to:SAP Fiori applicationsInterfaces (IDocs, APIs)Basic debugging and coordination with ABAP teamsSoft Skills (Critical for this Role)Excellent communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong ownership and accountability mindsetAbility to handle pressure in a production support environmentProactive and solution-oriented approachPreferred QualificationsSAP S/4HANA MM CertificationExperience with SAP Ariba (support/integration)Exposure to global AMS delivery modelsWork ModelHybrid (Houston)2 days onsite (mandatory)3 days remoteFlexibility for on-call support / weekend releases (if required)
