Responsibilities include:o Drafting, evaluating, negotiating, and executing contracts, such as Subcontracts, Consulting Agreements, Purchase Orders, NDAs, etc.o Supporting Contracts Manager in the evaluation, negotiation, and review of Prime contracts with the United States Government (DoD).o Providing guidance to program teams regarding contractual rights and obligations, including interpretation of terms and conditions.o Providing guidance to junior contracts specialist.o Supporting the contract lifecycle management workflow (i.e. proposals, contract execution, contract closeout).o Maintaining detailed contract records.o Tracking contract deadlines.o Assisting with continuous improvement of GALT processes, procedures, policies, and other compliance documentation.Required Skills, Experience, and Educationo Bachelor's Degree in relevant areao 6+ years' experience in government contractingo U.S. Citizenshipo Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) personnel security clearanceo Proposal development supporting responses to RFP/RFQ/RFIso Familiar with commercial contracts (subcontract agreements, consulting agreements, etc.)o Familiar with FAR/DFARS non-commercial (FAR Part 15) and commercial (FAR Part 12) acquisitiono Attention to detailo Negotiation skillso Strong oral and written communications skillso Strong critical and analytical thinkingo Ability to take initiative, multi-task, prioritize, and work well under pressureo Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic environmentPreferred Skills, Experience and Educationo Secret Clearanceo Juris Doctorate Degreeo Research & Developmento Familiar with ISO quality standards in a production/manufacturing environmentPhysical Requirementso Occasionally move about the facilityo Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machineryPay ScaleAt GALT Aerospace, base pay is one part of the total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as one grows and develops within a role.
