Will consider others HCL Software is looking for a Lead level Software Engineer/Scrum Master to work within the BigFix engineering team. Our ideal candidate would have 7+ years of relevant experience, a degree in Computer Science or a related field, a relentless passion for technology and troubleshooting, and a growth mindset that you bring to your work and relationships. You will build responsive, elegant and enterprise-grade web applications that scale to support continuous delivery, address accessibility requirements, and address customer needs with innovation and creativity. An ideal candidate will have a passion for the user experience with the ability to build rich, cross-browser compatible, responsive web pages with an eye for detail and a desire to create polished UI. Knowledge and Skills Experience as a Lead Full Stack Engineer to ensure responsiveness of applications while collaborating with engineering teams to design and launch new features. Maintain code integrity and organization while working with graphic designers and converting designs to visual elements. Lead a development team in the development of security and data protection with experience in Back-end programming languages (node.js, Python, SQL, GO) Front-end technologies (REACT, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Vue.js). Expertise with code versioning tools such as Git and previous usage of databases such as MySQL, NOSQL Basic understanding of system administration such as Virtualization, Networking, Cloud environment. Experience using a modern development environment for automated code testing as a Full Stack Web Developer. Key responsibilities Strong Scrum/Agile Knowledge as an Engineering Scrum Master Mentoring and coaching Scrum team to install Agile values and principles and lead by example Keeping Scrum process on track and passing it to the team as self-organization matures Coordinating across other agile teams for complex projects Build relationship with Product owner and other stake holders to facilitate team's interaction with them Ensuring team adherence to project quality standards Building and communicating specifications from stakeholders to development teams Assisting with application troubleshooting and debugging Leading developers to meet project commitment and timelines Leading test-driven development methodologies for scalable code Educating junior/senior developers on best practices. Working directly with clients, Product Management, Marketing and Sales Ability to work on-site with our development team in Emeryville, California preferred. Exceptional candidates will be considered for remote hire. Qualifications 7+ years of experience developing and consuming web-based RESTful APIs and client integrations using JSON as a Full Stack Web Developer. 7+ years of experience in a lead position for end-to-end web-based systems, including all aspects of development, testing, and production launch. 7+ years of experience in front-end web programming languages, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ReactJS, with ability to render server-side and client-side content. Frontend Web Development experience that includes creating and deploying user-facing interfaces in an agile environment on one or more digital service project and building web frontends in modern web frameworks 7+ years Backend Web Development experience that includes at least 7 years of experience developing and deploying backend web applications in an agile environment on one or more digital service project writing the backends of modern open source web applications as a Full Stack Web Developer, (Node, PHP, Java, jQuery, C#) 7+ years of experience as a Lead Developer for end-to-end web-based systems, including all aspects of development, testing, and production launch. 7+ years practical experience working as a Lead Developer with technical skills in data analysis, coding, programming, social media, and project management. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Candidate must be a US Citizen residing and working in the United States.
