Every day we work toward transforming global markets.The Platform Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining the core automation services within ICE’s infrastructure. This role will be a combination of hands-on work and assisting in setting new standards via automated tooling. A successful candidate will understand the complete software development lifecycle and have a proven track record of building infrastructure and automation platforms, mentoring other engineers, and educating infrastructure staff. Additionally, the Platform Engineer performs root cause analysis of problems, selects, develops, and implements automations tools and actively participates in deep technical discussions.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the design, planning and implementation of Ansible Automation PlatformDevelop and support the CI/CD pipeline used to enable the development efforts on Ansible Automation PlatformBuild and maintain automation scripts in PythonCreate code in Ansible to manage server configurationsAssist in maintaining and improving our Windows and Linux build infrastructuresCreate and deploy packages using RPMs and NuGet packagesRespond to and assist in production operations in a 24/7 environmentEvaluate, test, and integrate new operating system versions, drivers, and patchesProvide technical analysis, resolve problems, and propose solutionsProvide support to, and coordinate with, developers, operations staff, release engineers, and end-usersEducate and mentor team members and operations staffParticipate in a weekly on-call rotation for after-hours supportKnowledge And ExperienceDegree in engineering discipline or equivalent experience in Systems Engineering3+ years of experience with Ansible Automation Platform or AWX3+ years of experience with Kubernetes3+ years of experience RHEL, 7.x – 9.x or Windows Server 2016 – 20253+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelinesIntermediate level experience with PythonBuild automation and configuration managementHorizontal and vertical scaling for performance and high availabilityTop-tier analytics and problem solvingAbility to work in a service-oriented team environmentProject Management, organization, and time managementCustomer focused, and dedicated to the best possible user experienceCommunicate effectively with both technical and business resourcesFluent speaking, reading, and writing in EnglishDesired1+ years of experience with GitHub Actions1+ years of experience with GitHub Enterprise SCM1+ years of experience with OpenShift Container Platform1+ years of experience with ArgoCD1+ years of experience with Red Hat Satellite or Tanium Patch1+ years of experience with Windows/Linux OS deployment with ForemanIntercontinental Exchange, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
