Maintenance Technician I
Job PurposeSupport the company’s maintenance program by focusing on plant equipment and building maintenance in a manner that meets and complies with all food safety policies and OSHA regulations.Essential FunctionsTroubleshoot and repair mechanical problems with plant equipment (e.g., mechanical drive systems, HVAC, hydraulic and pneumatic systems) Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems with plant equipment (e.g., wiring, circuits, fuses, switches, electrical installations, transformers, motors, and AC/DC motor drives) Perform preventive maintenance on all plant equipment Perform building maintenance and repairs (e.g., air conditioning, lights, forklifts) Perform small repairs on equipment to prevent long-term downtime until permanent repairs can be completed Report on food safety and quality issues to appropriate personnel Comply with all food safety requirements, training, policies, and procedures Perform other job-related duties as assignedQualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)Strong troubleshooting skills Experience or willingness to learn pneumatics, and hydraulicsWilling to learn and obtain boilers license and electrical maintenance license.Ability to accurately use and read a variety of measuring devices Well-rounded mechanical skills and experience Written and verbal communication skills Ability to work overtime as neededHigh school diploma or equivalentTechnical degree in a maintenance related field, MN Special Engineer Boiler License or higher, or refrigeration experience preferred$2,000 Sign-On Bonus after 90 days.3rd shift 10pm - 6am
