Infusion TechnicianOversee designing and process of all fiberglass infusion projects. The following are the duties and responsibilities of the Infusion Specialist:Assist infusion/lamination leadership to coordinate manufacturing activities, train and assist employees in the performance of tasks as needed.Act as an internal auditor and assist QA inspector to ensure accuracy and quality of the infusion/lamination process based on the designs.Assist with mold inspection prior to production to make sure mold is correct compared to the designs.Assist in supervising production activity and help coordinate with relevant departments including supervisors and managers.Select precut fiberglass mats, cloth and wood bracing materials per production requirements.Spray chopped fiberglass, resins and catalysts onto prepared molds or dies using pneumatic spray guns with chopper attachments - release air bubbles and smooth seams, using rollers when needed.Mix catalysts into resins and saturate cloth and mats with mixtures using brushes.Check completed products for conformity and modify discrepancies if detected.Work overtime as needed.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by managementRequired Education and Experience:High School Diploma or equivalentPrior marine industry machining is a plusPrefer knowledge with fiberglass and resin, spray painting, composites, marine material knowledge and marine experience.Basic mathematical skillsMust be able to speak, read, and write EnglishAdditional Skills, Physical Requirements, and Competencies:Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements include dust masks, gloves, safety glassesCan work in a hot and humid non-climate-controlled environmentAbility to walk up and down a flight of stairs numerous times a dayAbility to work outsideAbility to work in a fast paced, noisy environmentKnowing chemicals, their dangers, safety procedures, mixing procedures and time limitsAbility to work both independently and as a team memberFollow safety and health standards use of protective equipment as requiredAbility to work 8+ hour day shifts (sitting, standing, bending and reaching) and moderate lifting up to 50 lbs.Benefits: (Waiting period may apply)401(k)Health InsuranceEmployee assistance programDental/Vision insuranceLife insuranceShort Term/Long Term DisabilityPaid time offWe are a drug-free workplace and an equal opportunity employer.
