UNIQUE is committed to delivering excellence and reliability in every product.Role DescriptionOvernight travel required.We are looking for a qualified CDL-A Driver who resides in the northeast Ohio area to transport our products and equipment with the high level of service that our customers expect.The main responsibility of the CDL-A Driver is to transport and operate equipment used in making asphalt products at various locations as needed. Job Responsibilites, Qualifications and RequirementsExtensive overnight travel during peak season (approximately 50-75% a month)Punctuality is criticalWillingness to work on short notice and be available via cell phoneAbility to perform mathematical calculations and solve problemsProfessional communication with customers, vendors, and employeesA high degree of integrity; especially in regards to safety and DOT complianceThe ability to lift and carry samples, products, and equipment (25-70 lbs.)The ability to climb ladders and platforms to operate equipmentDetailed oversight of his or her own employee expense reportingValid CDL A license and a clean driving record is required, insurable through company's insurance carrierTanker and Hazmat Endorsements required, or obtained within 90 days of hireTWIC card preferredPrior over the road experience (preferably a minimum of 5 years)Front-end loader and fork-lift experience a plusExperience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and commitment to vehicle safetyProficiency in maintaining accurate delivery records and comprehensive knowledge of DOT regulationsStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team membersPhysical fitness to assist with the loading and unloading of materialsFamiliarity with regional routes and local traffic laws is a plusPrevious experience in the paving, construction, or similar industries is advantageousOur Company is well established and driven to succeed.
