Human Resources - Intern
DutiesEvaluate and resolve HR related issues Suggest and implement changes that will provide the greatest return to the organization. Develop and implement recruitment and retention strategies to achieve required staffing levels. Develop, evaluate, and conduct training programs for hiring managers Prepare, present, and monitor HR statistics and metrics; implement solutions for improvement. Prepare and submit timely reporting data to regulatory agencies Compile wages and benefits data and participate in negotiations of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) with labor unions. Participate and contribute to successful annual open enrollment. Contribute to the overall compliance with the Service Contract Act and prevailing wage requirements from the Department of Labor. Skills/Abilities RequiredAbility to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner Ability to maintain confidentiality of information Ability to manage time effectively Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure Detail oriented with strong organizational skills Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Package (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) Ability to deliver meaningful presentations Travel RequirementsOccasional travel to contract sites in 9 states.
