Description Job SummaryWe are seeking aNurse Practitioner or Physician Assistantto join ourCardiothoracic Surgery team in Beaumont, TX . This role offers a dynamic mix ofsurgical first assist, inpatient care, and perioperative management . The ideal candidate will have experience in cardiothoracic surgery or a related surgical specialty and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.Key ResponsibilitiesServe asfirst assistin cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including CABG and valve cases Performvein harvestingusing endoscopic or open techniques as applicable Provide inpatient rounding, post-operative management, and consultations Assist with pre-operative evaluations and post-operative follow-up care Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic studies including labs, imaging, and cardiac testing Collaborate closely with cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, and multidisciplinary teams Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and ongoing care Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMRQualificationsCurrent Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA) Previous cardiothoracic or surgical experience preferred Experience withfirst assist and/or vein harvesting strongly preferred BLS and ACLS certifications required Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently in a high-acuity setting
