Surgical Tech

Surgical TechnicianAssists the surgical team in the preparation of surgical procedures in the operating room. Prepares surgical cases by creating and maintaining a sterile field, retracting and passing instruments, supplies and medications to surgeons during cases. Performs a variety of technical skills, including the maintenance of supplies. This department includes all functions related to operating room services, including intraoperative patient care. It also may include perfusion services, inpatient and/or outpatient services, and other operating room support functions. It does not include PACU, anesthesia functions, pre op holding, and/or central sterile functions. If your department is operating as a combined department with all surgery services combined, please notify FP&A and we can map it to "Surgical Services Combined Without Anesthesia" to provide you with an appropriate benchmark. Requirements Evening shift, 8 hrs shifts, 11am to 7:30 pm, call can be minimum 1-2 days per week and 1 weekend a month. Need qualified candidates who are well versed in general laparoscopy, Neuro, Spin and Ortho. Preferred knowledge of Robotic Surgery will be a benefit.
