Customer Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Customer Engineer for a contract-to-hire job with a client in Woodcliff Lake, NJ (Onsite). Rate Range: $25/hour to $30/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled IT Support professional (Customer Engineer) with CompTIA certification to provide technical assistance and deliver excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting IT hardware and software environments and working collaboratively within a team. Key Responsibilities:Provide technical support for hardware and software issues (Dell/HP systems, Windows 10/11)Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, and peripheral issuesPerform installations, configurations, and upgrades of IT equipmentSupport end-users via phone, email, chat, or in-person (Tech Bar/Help Desk)Handle IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) requestsMaintain accurate documentation of incidents and service requests in ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy)Ensure timely resolution of tickets in line with SLA requirementsCollaborate with team members and escalate issues when necessary Required Qualifications:CompTIA certification (A+, Network+, or Security+)Experience in IT support, help desk, or desktop support rolesStrong knowledge of IT hardware (Dell/HP) and Windows 10/11Basic understanding of networking conceptsAbility to troubleshoot hardware and software issues efficiently If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
