Financial Analyst
The Financial Analyst is responsible for delivering actionable financial and operational insights that support strategic decision-making across the organization. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to analyze performance, identify trends, and drive improvements in profitability, efficiency, and operational effectiveness. The Financial Analyst plays a key role in budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and data analysis while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial information.ResponsibilitiesSupervisory Responsibilities:This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may support or mentor junior team members and collaborate on cross-functional initiatives.Duties/ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and enhance financial and operational reports and dashboards (Excel, Power BI)Create data visualizations and dashboards to clearly communicate financial insights and performance trendsPartner with cross-functional teams to analyze trends and identify opportunitiesPerform monthly variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast)Support budgeting and forecasting cyclesAnalyze KPIs to improve operational efficiencyProvide regular reporting to support business operationsIdentify data discrepancies and recommend improvementsSupport audit processes with accurate reportingServe as a point of contact for ad hoc analysisTranslate complex data into actionable insightsCollaborate to improve reporting and data governanceContinuously improve reporting processesQualificationsRequired Skills and Abilities:Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, power query)Experience with Power BI or similar toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skillsAbility to manage multiple prioritiesAttention to detail and accuracyUnderstanding of financial statementsRequiredEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or related fieldPreferred1–3 years of financial analysis experienceExperience with Power BI or DAXExperience with budgeting and forecastingFlagger Force is an industry leader in traffic control.
