Free Parking!Era Living is seeking full-time Senior Lead Food Server to become the newest members of our Dining Services team located in our University House Issaquah Community, Issaquah, WA. Available shifts will be scheduled Sunday - Thursday, 11:30am - 08:00pm. Applicants must be 21 years or older to meet the legal requirements for Alcohol Server Certification.Competitive Compensation/Benefits Package Includes:Medical/vision/prescription drug planDental planLife and Accidental Death & Dismemberment insuranceFlexible Spending Accounts for health care and dependent care401(k) retirement plan with generous company match (eligibility contingent on age requirement)Progressive vacation package starting at 7 days per year8 paid holidays per year; double pay for holidays worked1 hour paid sick time for every 40 hours workedEmployee Assistance ProgramLongevity bonusesEmployee discount programsPrimary Responsibilities:The Senior Lead Food Server is responsible for all aspects of daily operations of the Dining Room to ensure the highest quality of service to residents and their guests.Develops staff schedules, ensuring adequate staffing for all shifts; works with Department Supervisor to ensure consideration of budget and quality of service for all meals and special eventsExpedite dinner operations for the dining room by supporting staff with serving, hosting, bussing and dishwashing dutiesAssists Department Supervisor with training of staffPrepares, revises and informs servers of their assigned sectionsSupervises the Dining Room staff during meal service to ensure the highest quality of serviceSupports Lead and servers with any immediate resident or staff needs during dinner and performs assigned designated pre-meal and post-meal dutiesWorks with Food Services Department Supervisor for budget and purchasing small wares, office supplies, uniformsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Must be 21+ years old; Possess basic knowledge and ability to perform Lead food server functions in a health care setting; basic math skillsAbility to ensure and oversee that dining room is ready for meal serviceExcellent organizational skills and ability to implement directionsAbility to use excellent time management skills; ability to meet strict deadlinesAbility to use good interpersonal skills when interacting with residents, family members, visitors and co-workersAbility to work variable hours and days to meet the scheduling needs of dining roomAbility to read, write, and communicate in Engish.Ability to pass DSHS background check, requiredEducation and Experience:High school graduation or GED equivalentMust have 1-2 years’ experience in restaurant or assisted living food service or experience working as a Lead Food Server with Era LivingPrevious supervisory experience, preferredRequired: First Aid and CPR certified or able to obtain within 30 days of hire; Food Handler’s Certificate or able to obtain within 14 days of hire; Alcohol Serving Certification or able to obtain within 14 days of hireAbout Era Living:If you are passionate about improving the quality of life for older adults and exemplify a values based approach to your work, demonstrating integrity, credibility, consistency, strong team orientation, and outstanding communication, we welcome your application!Era Living was voted “2023/2024/2025 Winner: Best in the Pacific Northwest - Senior Community” by the Seattle Times.#eraliving
