This role supports routine and preventative maintenance efforts to ensure optimal functionality, safety, and compliance. The ideal candidate is well-rounded, with working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general facility maintenance, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work while contributing to a positive team environment.Essential Job FunctionsPerform all duties in a safe manner, following company policies, procedures, and work rulesConduct routine, preventative, and corrective maintenance on facility systems and equipmentPerform minor repairs across building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenanceTroubleshoot equipment issues and support timely resolution to minimize downtimeComplete assigned work orders accurately and efficientlyAssist with construction, installation, and equipment repairs as neededMaintain inventory of maintenance tools, parts, and suppliesEnsure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirementsOther Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain working knowledge of facility systems including plumbing, electrical, irrigation, HVAC, and securitySupport general facility upkeep including cleaning and organization of maintenance areasResearch and adapt to new maintenance methods, tools, and technologiesAssist in continuous improvement efforts to enhance operational efficiencyFoster a positive team environment through collaboration, accountability, and a proactive attitudePerform additional duties as assignedMinimum Job RequirementsMust be 21 years of age or olderMust be able to obtain and maintain required state cannabis agent badgeBasic knowledge of maintenance systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentryAbility to use hand and power tools safely and effectivelyStrong attention to detail, organization, and time management skillsAbility to follow instructions and internalize trainingEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and within a team environmentMust comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 lbs (up to 100 lbs with assistance)Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and repetitive motionsPreferred Job Requirements2+ years of maintenance or related experienceHands-on experience with HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and general construction/carpentryExperience working in a fast-paced, high-growth, or start-up environmentDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve effectivelySelf-motivated with strong initiative and resourcefulnessCommitment to maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient work environmentCompany OverviewAscend Wellness Holdings (AWH) is a vertically integrated cannabis cultivator, processor and provisioning center operator with assets in Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
