Maintenance Technician – Food Production Schedule: Full-time (shift flexibility required) Compensation: $32 or more + benefitsOverviewWe are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support a high-volume food production operation. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure minimal downtime and consistent output.This is a hands-on position requiring strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, along with the ability to work closely with production teams in a fast-paced, regulated environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and preventative maintenance on production and facility equipmentTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsDiagnose issues quickly and return equipment to service safely and efficientlySupport major preventative maintenance activities and equipment rebuildsInspect and maintain conveyors, motors, pumps, compressors, and related systemsWork closely with production teams to identify and resolve equipment issues in real timeEnsure all equipment is returned in a clean, food-safe conditionMaintain accurate maintenance records and documentationMonitor spare parts inventory and ensure critical components are availableFollow all safety, GMP, and sanitation standardsQualifications2–5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systemsAbility to read schematics, manuals, and technical documentationExperience with preventative maintenance programsStrong attention to detail and ability to work independentlyComfortable working in a fast-paced production environmentFlexibility to support different shifts, weekends, and on-call needsPreferred ExperienceFood manufacturing or regulated environment experienceExposure to refrigeration systems (ammonia or glycol)Welding or fabrication experienceExperience working in cold or refrigerated environmentsWork EnvironmentCold/refrigerated production environment (approx. 38°F)Wet, fast-paced manufacturing settingPhysically active role requiring lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, and movement throughout shiftWhy This RoleThis is a strong opportunity for a hands-on technician who enjoys working directly on the floor, solving problems in real time, and being part of a team focused on keeping operations running efficiently.
