OR and Practice Manager

Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly organized, dual-threat Registered Nurse to serve as our OR and Practice Manager. This critical leadership role oversees daily business operations and clinical administrative workflows for a small, fast-paced plastic surgery and liposuction center. The ideal candidate balances high-level administrative management with hands-on, cross-functional clinical support.Location: Fort Myers, FL (100% Fully In-Person)Hours: 30–40 hours per weekSchedule: Floating schedule based on surgery calendar and practice workloadCompensation: $40–$50 per hour (negotiable based on experience)Desired QualificationsLicensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.Experience: 5+ years of nursing experience, ideally in a surgical or perioperative setting.Specialized Knowledge: Prior experience in a plastic surgery or liposuction environment is highly preferred.Certifications: Maintain active BLS, ACLS, HIPAA, and bloodborne pathogens certifications.Skills: Exceptional administrative capabilities, strong staff leadership, and excellent hands-on patient care skills.Core Responsibilities1. Practice Operations & LeadershipDaily Management: Clock in via Zoho, oversee daily facility operations, manage medical staff, and maintain a positive work environment.Task Tracking: Monitor task tracking tools for active and upcoming tasks; promptly return missed texts, calls, and voicemails in Lead AR.HR & Timesheets: Review and approve employee timesheets. Maintain up-to-date employee files, tracking all staff licenses and required certifications.Workflow Optimization: Develop, revise, and implement operational strategies, workflows, policies, and procedures to maximize facility efficiency.Patient Relations: Direct patient inquiries, manage follow-ups, and professionally resolve patient complaints or dissatisfaction.2. Clinical Administrative & ComplianceInspection Readiness: Lead inspection preparation and maintain absolute compliance with biohazard and infection control standards.Medical Records: Ensure all patient records are accurately completed, filed, and contain signed consent forms.Log Management: Maintain meticulous, up-to-date clinical records of all mandatory operational logs.Staff Training: Coordinate orientation and continuing education for new medical staff regarding medical procedures, sales processes, and sterilization/infection control practices. Maintain staff training logs (ACLS, BLS, biohazard, etc.).3. Patient Care Coordination & Cross-CoverageSurgical Prep: Ensure all patients complete necessary lab work and secure medical clearance. Send patient medications one week prior to the surgery date.Perioperative Nursing: Pre-op and recover patients for general anesthesia cases when necessary. Provide dedicated post-op care and lead in person and virtual post-op appointments.Clinical Cross-Coverage: Act as the backup Medical Assistant (MA) on the clinical side during personnel shortages.Room Turnaround: Directly assist with prepping patients and executing efficient room turnovers.4. Inventory, Vendor, & Facility MaintenanceSupply Ordering: Monitor and order all surgical consumables and facility supplies to prevent operational delays.Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with external vendors and manage equipment installations or repairs alongside the Maintenance Manager.Equipment Care: Maintain all medical equipment in good working condition. Promptly notify the CEO of major equipment issues or required capital replacements.Infection Control: Monitor facility infection rates and enforce strict sterilization protocols.5.
